On June 8, Kapuso stars Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi addressed whether they felt pressured to take over Family Feud’s timeslot.
At the media conference for ‘LUV IS: Love at First Read,’ which LionhearTV covered, Alcantara revealed that they spoke to Family Feud PH host Dingdong Dantes.
Alcantara confirmed, “Definitely po, may kaba. And actually, tinanong po namin si Kuya Dong. Siyempre po iba pong show eh. So tinanong po namin siya kung anong gagawin. Sabi niya, maganda naman ‘yung story ninyo, so just keep on promoting. So yeah, sobra po talaga ‘yung kaba po namin.”
She also attested to the quality of the Kapuso show, ‘LUV IS: Love at First Read.’
The young actress added that she has manifested the project’s success based on the storyline and the expertise of the cast, director, writers, and production.
She furthered, “So, no doubt, sana po maramdaman din po ng bawat Kapuso na manonood sa amin ‘yung good vibes and ‘yung kilig na nararamdaman ng cast on and off cam.”
When asked about their reaction that the series is not in the primetime slot, Alcantara answered, “Ay okay po ako sa kahit sa ano, I’m okay with any slot.”
Legaspi echoed Alcantara’s statement about their romantic comedy series’ quality.
Legaspi said they are excited about this project and they take pride in their work. Collectively, he said they are proud of what they have accomplished.
“We’re not afraid because I know that we put up a beautiful show, and it was a beautiful honor working with each /and every one of you. Kaya alam ko ‘yung excitement na nararamdaman ko because I know we have something beautiful that the Kapuso are going to see in the near future.”
He thanked Dingdong Dantes for his blessing, “And Kuya Dong, thank you sa blessing mo.”
Legaspi and Alcantara star in the upcoming Kapuso series, ‘LUV IS: Love at First Read.’
The cast also includes a mix of new GMA artists and seasoned actors, such as Josh Ford, Pam Prinster, Bruce Roeland, Larkin Castor, Therese Malvar, Mariel Pamintuan, Gabby Gueco, Kiel Gueco, Marco Masa, Maricar De Mesa, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Jestoni Alarcon.
On June 12, GMA Network will premiere the Kapuso adaptation of Chixnita’s Wattpad novel, directed by Mark Sicat Dela Cruz.
