GMA Network’s newest afternoon series, ‘Love At First Read (LAFR),’ achieved impressive TV ratings on its pilot episode.
Based on the latest rating report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the romantic series starring Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara has received a warm reception from televiewers, emerging victorious in the ratings game against its rival programs.
On Monday, June 12, LAFR registered a rating of 7.4 percent, significantly higher compared to its rival programs Cine Cinco with 1.4 percent, Afternoon Zinema with 0.7 percent, and Kapamilya Gold Hits with 0.2 percent.
Aside from TV ratings, the series has also triumphed in the online world, particularly on the short-video streaming app TikTok.
An episode highlight featuring Kudos (Mavy Legaspi) defending Angelica (Kyline Alcantara) in front of their schoolmates garnered nearly 2 million views on the platform.
Love At First Read marks the first-ever team-up of Legaspi and Alcantara as lead stars in a Kapuso series. It serves as a television adaptation of the popular Wattpad novel with the same title.
Additionally, it is the second installment in the Luv Is series, which is a collaboration project between GMA and Wattpad Webtoon Studios.
