If rumors are true, Kapamilya stars Enrique Gil and Makisig Morales are set to join the top-rating action-drama teleserye FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
According to several rumors buzzing on social media, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo will be Gil’s vehicle for his showbiz comeback after taking a -threeyear break.
On April 25, the King of the Gil put an end to rumors of network transfer after signing an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN.
Gil expressed his excitement for this new chapter in his career, hinting at a different version of himself. He stated, “I am really excited to coming back and starting a new path. I am really excited to doing something I’ve never done before. So hopefully guys watch out for that.”
Gil’s manager, Ranvel Rufino, also revealed that Gil will be embracing new roles and challenges as part of his ‘rebranding.’ Rufino said, “The only thing that changed is he just wants to take new roles, new challenges. We made sure lang that he is comfortable. That’s the only plan that we have right now is for him to be happy and for him to take on the new roles and new challenges,” he said.
“Not because of me but because of him and probably his experience and years in the business, yes there will be a rebranding. First project you will see something new from him,” he added.
Makisig Morales, on the other hand, is currently based in Australia with his family.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s currently working there as a chef at a Filipino restaurant called Hapag Kainan. He has yet to issue a statement with regards to his impending showbiz comeback.
Gil and Morales previously worked together in the Kapamilya fantaserye Bagani in 2018. If the rumors of their entry to FPJ’s Batang Quiapo come to fruition, it will mark their first reunion project after taking a break from showbiz.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo currently holds the top spot in the country’s teleserye ratings.
