The crime-fighting Monster Cop returns and is again ready to give us another exhilarating action movie experience.
This 2023, Don Lee reprises his iconic role as Detective Ma Seok Do for The Roundup: No Way Out, the third installment of the Roundup series, a South Korean crime-action film series that follows the story of a detective hunting down big-time criminals.
Join Ma Seok Do as he goes through tougher challenges and faces bigger enemies. The Roundup: No Way Out opens June 7, 2023, exclusively at SM cinemas.
Years after their mission in Vietnam, Detective Ma Seok-do (Don Lee) joins a new squad under the Metropolitan Investigations team. Their mission is to bust a drug syndicate specializing in synthetic drugs.
Detective Ma Seok-do faces two new notorious enemies in solving this case, Joo Sung-Chul (Lee Jun-hyuk), the mystery man behind the syndicate who is sly enough to always be one step ahead of the Metropolitan Investigators, and Ricky (Munetaka Aoki), a Japanese drug distributor who comes to Korea with his gang to eliminate whoever interferes with his business.
As these two men bring chaos around the city, Detective Seok-do and his team must find a way to successfully hunt them and shut down their illegal operations before things get out of hand.
Witness full-packed action as Don Lee upgrades his signature fist-fighting scenes for the movie. The South Korean actor is now known and loved globally after his remarkable roles in Train to Busan and Marvel Cinematic Universe’s The Eternals.
Joining Don Lee in The Roundup: No Way Out are multi-awarded South Korean actor Lee Jun-hyuk and Japanese actor Munetaka Aoki in his first Korean film.
Director Lee Sang-yong also returns to continue the success of the Roundup series after being its assistant director and director in the first two films.
