Cardinal Santos Medical Center Hospital On Wheels will be present at this year’s University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) on June 3, Saturday, and June 4, Sunday, as part of the medical institution’s corporate social responsibility and support for the UP community.
Located beside Palma Hall at the UP Diliman Campus in Quezon City, Cardinal Santos’ Hospital On Wheels (HOW) and Cardinal On Wheels (COW) will provide UPCAT test takers with Caring Cardinal doctors on standby to provide emergency medical support during the 2-day exam period.
“We are very honored to be of service to the UP Diliman community through our Hospital On Wheels,” said UP Regent and Cardinal Santos President and CEO, Raul C. Pagdanganan. “This is an initiative that was born from Cardinal Santos’ thrust to bring quality healthcare to more communities, said Pagdanganan. “I wish all UPCAT takers the best of luck, and I am hopeful that I will see you become not just part of the UP community, but also as future leaders and partners in nation building.”
“For the UPCAT this Saturday and Sunday, we’re expecting more than 30,000 test-takers. For the health and safety of our test-takers, parents and companions, we collaborated with Cardinal Santos Medical Center. That’s why in the campus we have the Hospital On Wheels during the UPCAT days, ” said Leo D.P. Cubillan, Vice President of Academic Affairs, University of the Philippines.
