In a recent development, Filipino actor and comedian Buboy Villar has finally responded to allegations that the ‘Ikaw Ang Pinaka’ segment of the revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’ on June 7 was scripted.
One of the winning contestants was said to be known to Villar. The actor denied any prior knowledge of the contestant’s participation and shed light on the issue.
The controversy unfolded during the ‘Ikaw ang Pinaka’ segment of the noontime show, where netizens recognized the contestant as someone Villar knows. A social media post claiming the show was scripted quickly went viral, sparking widespread criticism from viewers.
Netizens expressed their frustrations, with one user stating, “CHEAT BULAGA! 😂”

As netizens labeled the show ‘scripted,’ GMA Network sought Villar’s perspective on the matter.
Villar expressed his sympathy for the contestant, acknowledging their support and emphasizing that their selection was a decision made by the show’s co-hosts.
“Lahat naman po puwedeng manalo e, sabi nga po namin sharing is caring and caring is winning,” he added.
Meanwhile, netizens continue to dwell on the controversy surrounding the new ‘Eat Bulaga.’ Despite the challenges faced by the show’s new hosts, including Villar, they remain committed to delivering an exceptional entertainment experience for their audience.
