On June 2, rapper-businessman Jayson Luzadas, known as Boss Toyo, detailed how he dreamed of valuing local artists through their memorabilia.
At the media event for his song Rap Lord, which LionhearTV covered, Boss Toyo discussed why he established his business Pinoy Pawn Stars.
If you’re familiar with Pawn Stars in the US. Eh why not dito sa atin gawin.
Boss Toyo added, “‘Yun ‘yung main purpose ko why ko ginawa ‘yung Pinoy Pawn Stars. Sumugal ako, namuhunan, I don’t know kung babalik or what, pero kasi gusto kong bigyan ng halaga ‘yung atin– ‘yung sariling atin.
He then pointed out how he appreciates the hard work of Filipino artists who left a mark in the entertainment industry.
He also noted that his goal is to inspire Filipinos to respect and admire local artists and their hard work.
As for Boss Toyo’s Rap Lord, the Pinoy rap song under the music label Blvck Music is an arrangement of Engr. Louie Cristobal and Romel Afable with JG Beats as Beat Producer.
