Sources confirm that this star can’t commit to taking part in the promotion of a project she topbills, simply because she realized how embarrassingly ugly the final output was.
If rumors were true, an actress will be a no-show in the promotional campaign for a widely-talked about project she stars in. Prior to the release of the project’s promo materials online, expectations about the project giving the actress a much-needed springboard to the international scene was high. After all, it is almost an open secret that she turned down numerous offers to play the highly-coveted role in this project.
Is it worth it? Words heard through the grapevine suggest that is not the case.
The actress, who is known for always taking pride in every movie or TV show she topbills, reportedly did not receive well the largely negative reaction from those who have seen the initial teasers. Such a reaction seems to have convinced the actress that the project she did is as horrible as most think, hence her decision to halt her participation in any promotional activity for the project.
Such a move, however, apparently could ignite a legal battle between her and the producers who have been trying their best to salvage the project before its commercial release.
In hopes to reverse the unfortunate fate that many fear awaits the project, showrunners decide to do reshoots. The actress, to her credit, took part in re-shooting some scenes she already did, but an unexpected rift with a co-star on set made her decide to completely detach herself from the project.
To make the problem even worse, talent fee issues arose, which discouraged more members of the cast and the creative and production department to follow the actress’ move.
To keep the production going, doubles are reportedly tapped to do the parts of the actress and other actors who left. Many, however, are dubious about such a choice, which left the entire production and creative team with no other option but to make it work.
With just a few weeks left before its target release, it seems that time is already running out. Is there really a chance for this project to repel its impending grim fate, especially that its lead star whose name translates to readiness for war turned out to be unprepared for battle—the battle to prove the critics and bashers wrong?
