On June 26, actor-Congressman Arjo Atayde hinted at his plans to establish a business with his fiancé Maine Mendoza.
At the press event for The Inasal Republic, Atayde alluded to his goal of founding a non-food-related business with Mendoza.
“Yes po, we’re planning po. But obviously, we’re planning some other things with our relationship. Definitely, business down the line, mayroon din po kaming naiisip.
“Out of line po dito, hindi po siya food eh.”
Earlier, Atayde and Mendoza’s family began the Filipino tradition of ‘pamamanhikan.’
The couple got engaged in July 2022, four years after they started their relationship.
As for the actor-politician’s new business, Inasal Republic offers a fantastic menu offering the ‘juiciest’ authentic Bacolod Inasal chicken for as low as Php 185.
Business partners Atayde, Somes, Gabby Atayde, Ivan Villamar, and Mark San Diego will open Inasal Republic’s very first satellite branch at 25 West Avenue in Quezon City by July 15.
Atayde discussed how he became more hands-on with his business venture compared to his investments in the past.
“Actually, I’ve tried investing, investing, fulfillments, I’m not hands-on eh? Doon sa mga ano– but this is the first hands-on business that we’re getting into. So yeah, I consider it my first baby talaga. So ito talaga ‘yung inaalagaan natin nang mabuti.
“We want it to grow– because, definitely, the vision of this company is not only to expand but also to study. Hopefully, in God’s time, once we have proof of concept, franchises will start coming [in]. We’re definitely promoting not only franchises but entrepreneurship. To give a more generous system to the franchisees, taking care of them, giving limited slots, per city, per franchise, given the demographics and the population. So we’re trying to spin it around. More hip, more casual, we’re really trying to take care of everyone, from hook to eventually our soon-to-be partners.”
They also aim to establish other satellite branches in strategic locations throughout the Philippines in the coming months.
