‘Hashtags’ member plays an introverted guy who falls for a girl he meets online. In person, he is unable to reveal his true identity.
Puregold, the grocery store chain, continues to make strides in content production. After making huge successes via its first two series offerings, ‘Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask’ (Herlene Budol, Joseph Marco), and ‘52 Weeks’ (Jin Macapagal, Queenay Mercado), it is now back with a brand new series that will surely charm its way to the hearts of hopeless romantics and suckers for a feel-good romantic comedy.
Top billing the series, ‘Ang Lalaki sa likod ng Profile’, is Viva artist and ‘Hashtag’ Wilbert Ross. Ross expressed his surprise and gratitude for being offered the lead role in the series. The actor may have played lead roles in several movies already, but the Victor Villanueva-directed project marks the first time Ross has starred in a web series.
“Sobrang thankful na parang, para ipagkatiwala sa’yo ‘yung main role talaga, which is a series din, so mahaba-haba, thankful ako na nagtiwala sila sa akin at sa kakayanan ko,” he shared during the media conference for the series, held last May 18, at the Aling Puring Convention 2023 in Pasay City.
“Kaya ibinalik ko din kung ano ‘yung kaya kong gawin. Kung ano man ‘yung fullest potential na kaya kong ilabas sa series na ‘to. So buong buo ito, lahat, ideas and everything,” he added, sharing his intention to give his fans the finest work he can deliver.
The actor gave his co-star, Yukii Takahashi, sweet praise, for being so easy to work with.
“Sobrang thankful ko din kay Yukii kasi kung baga, may potential saka magaling talaga siyang artista kaya hindi kami nahirapan sa scenes,” he shared, noting the sense of collaboration he felt whenever doing scenes with FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’ actress.
“Talagang may collab na nangyari every scene kaya magaan lang talaga. Siyempre magreresonate ‘yun sa lahat, sa prod, na madali lang syang gawin,” he added.
Now on its 7th episode, ‘Ang Lalaki sa likod ng Profile’ can be streamed via Puregold’s YouTube channel.
