On May 17, actress Yassi Pressman confirmed that she’s open to joining the cast of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
During a cooking segment in Magandang Buhay, host Regine Velasquez asked whether Pressman would want to work on FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, given that she used to work with the show’s lead actor and director Coco Martin in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Pressman answered with, “Oo naman po siyempre. That’s my family at sobrang tagal na po naming nagsama. Na parang ‘yung araw-araw na magkasama kayong lahat ay nakaka-miss din siyempre.”
She also revealed she watched FPJBQ’s pilot episode, praising the entire cast of the Kapamilya action-drama.
“I’m super happy, nanood po ako ng first–pilot nila. Nagshu-shooting ako ng ‘Kurdapya’ tapos nung dinner break namin pinanood ko. Sabi ko, ‘Ang huhusay pa rin talaga ng mga ito.’ Ang galing-galing po talaga nila.”
She also recounted how the cast of FPJAP would go into long periods of locked-in taping during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We were going in for a month, a month and a half sometimes.”
She thanked Dreamscape Entertainment, the FPJAP cast, and ABS-CBN for the chance to work in the beloved Kapamilya action series.
“Thank you, thank you kila sir Deo, Dreamscape family, Probinsyano family, everybody. ABS salamat po.”
Pressman worked in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano in 2016 up until 2021, wherein her character Alyanna Arevalo-Dalisay died during the crossfire between Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) and an armed unit.
As for her recent projects, Pressman worked on the TV5 series Kurdapya. She’s also the lead in the upcoming Viva Films and GMA Pictures Collaboration Video City along with Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid.
