Bossing Vic Sotto, the mainstay host of Eat Bulaga, recently made it clear that he has no plans of retiring anytime soon.
During a press conference held on May 5 for the renewal of his contract as the brand ambassador for Hanabishi, Vic addressed speculations about his retirement, stating, “Marami na akong nagawa, marami na akong natulungan, ang sagot ko lang doon, marami pa.”
The 69 years old host began his career in the early ’70s, and he shows no signs of slowing down. With multiple brand endorsements and ongoing TV shows, he continues to engage actively in his profession.
At the presser, Sotto also shared how he learned to embrace a more relaxed approach during the pandemic after many years of being constantly busy with his career.
“On the other hand, it was okay para sa akin, after so many years of working. – Doon ko naramdaman ang masarap din pala maging tamad, nasa bahay ka lang.”
He is now back to ‘being busy’ with his various projects, including the contract renewal as a long-time brand endorser for Hanabishi.
On May 27, Sotto’s newest sitcom Open 24/7, featuring Maja Salvador, will begin airing on GMA 7.
“What’s important for me as an endorser, is to be true to yourself. Hindi yung porque mabigyan ka ng produkto, hindi mo naman ginagamit, that’s false advertising,” he narrated.
Today, Vic Sotto remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
