On April 30, actress Sunshine Cruz revealed she got offered a Hollywood project and a regular appearance in Unbreak My Heart.
At the story conference for Lola Magdalena, which LionhearTV covered, Cruz first highlighted how she landed the spot as a regular cast of the Kapuso-Kapamilya-Viu collaboration.
“Tapos ako, patapos na ‘yung Underage ko. This week, may parating ako, nakakatuwa ‘yun, ‘yung Unbreak my Heart, ni Jodi and Papa Chet. Nag-shoot ako for Milan, supposedly guest lang ako, and good news they called and told me that they changed the script and made me into a regular cast.”
She then discussed the offer from a Hollywood project, which she may have to decline because of scheduling conflicts.
“So isn’t that a blessing. Tapos mayroon pang pelikula. Tapos mayroon pang pumapasok na Hollywood movie na I don’t think I can accept or not.
“So, I’m not sure, kasi nga, hanggang July or August ang Unbreak My Heart. Parang mag-shoshoot na by May. Parang ako pa ‘yung nalilito na kung ano ‘yung tatanggapin ko, kung ano ‘yung kaya pa ng powers ko.
“US, Bali, and the Philippines, supposedly. It was offered to me by Arnold Vegafria, ‘yung manager ko.”
She explained that she got the role after the star of the Hollywood project backed out.
“No, but someone auditioned for it, parang nagkaroon lang ng problema and ako ‘yung papalit. But I don’t even know kung matatanggap ko. So go with the flow lang ako, kung ano ‘yung kaya.”
As for her upcoming film, Cruz stars in Lola Magdalena with Gloria Diaz, Liza Lorena, Pia Moran, Perla Bautista, Joonee Gamboa, Marcus Madrigal, Angel Guardian, and Carlo San Juan.
