If Chicago has Lollapalooza and California has Coachella, the Philippines has a massive fun and entertainment experience of its own — SUMMER BLAST 2023. Featuring a solid concert line-up, summer-themed attractions, amusement rides, and booths, the excitement truly levelled up at the Philippine Arena Complex, Ciudad De Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan.
More than 120,000 people arrived at the venue to take part in various summer activities. According to reports, there were no major traffic issues because of the new systems implemented in traffic flow management.
Fans flocked inside the Philippine Sports Stadium to sing along with household names in OPM such as Sponge Cola, Silent Sanctuary, Rocksteddy and Gloc-9.
It’s not just the crowd who enjoyed the show. Gloc-9 writes, “Masyadong masaya! Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal hanggang sa muli!”

The event also featured performances from Soapdish, Bandang Lapis, Sunkissed Lola, Dilaw, Jumanji, Calista, Lunar Lights, Eclipse, Goodwill and Noah Alejandre.
The band Dilaw impressed many with their catchy tunes and the perfect timing of their song ‘Uhaw.’
“We’re super excited, a bit nervous, it’s our first time playing in a venue like this. The idea of playing in a venue like this is very exciting,” said Leon Altomonte of Dilaw.
OPM group Sunkissed Lola also wowed fans with their performance despite this being their first time in such a massive show.
“[It’s] our first time performing sa ganito kalaking crowd. Sobrang overwhelming. Ang solid, ito yung pinakamagandang set-up ng stage,” band members shared after their set.
“It was a surreal experience. Lined-up with legends and icons in the entertainment industry,” writes Eclipse.
