On May 12, Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid happily detailed his reunion with Yassi Pressman in their upcoming movie.
At the story conference for the upcoming Viva Films and GMA Pictures collaboration, which LionhearTV covered, Madrid felt ecstatic working with Pressman again after more than a decade.
The actor expressed, “Sobrang natuwa po ako na makakatrabaho ko si Yassi, kasi ‘yun nga sinabi nga ni Yassi, ten years ago po ‘yung last time na nagkita kami. Pero doon sa 10 years na ‘yun, nakita ko ‘yung growth ni Yassi as an actress, as a performer.”
Admittedly, he felt shy about reaching out to Pressman throughout the years.
He then highlighted the benefits of their collaboration in the upcoming movie co-produced by Viva Films and GMA Pictures.
So ito, nagkaroon ng chance na magkaka-work kami, sinabi niya sa akin, sobrang naging happy ako dahil kumbaga dahil nag-oopen na lahat sa collaboration and I guess, for us actors, malaking bagay po ‘yun, kasi natututo po kami eh sa bawat nakakatrabaho namin, at ‘yun ‘yung naiiaapply namin sa mga susunod na trabaho pa namin. So I’m very lucky and very happy na kasama po kami sa proyekto po na ito.”
In 2012, Madrid participated in the GMA Network reality talent competition ‘Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break. Pressman partnered with him for a challenge involving dancing.
Regarding their upcoming movie, “Video City,” which is a collaboration between Viva Films and GMA Pictures, Ruru Madrid and Pressman are the stars.
The movie centers on ‘Han’ (Madrid), who goes back in time and finds himself in 1995 when he meets ‘Ningning’ (Pressman), a member of the ‘Video City’ store crew.
Under the direction of Raynier Brizuela, ‘Video City’ starts filming soon.
