Pinoy viewers will be treated to one of primetime TV’s greatest match-ups as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ) and Voltes V: Legacy (VVL) begin their television rivalry.
Starting May 8, GMA Network’s much-awaited live-action adaptation of the well-loved classic cartoon series VVL will have its TV premiere.
Starring Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho, Voltes V promises a spectacular primetime TV experience with its critically acclaimed computer graphics and visual effects.
Before its TV premiere, Voltes V: Legacy had its cinematic experience from April 19 until May 2–it received rave reviews and ratings from various film review sites and ordinary netizens.
Written by Kapuso screenwriter and creative consultant Suzette Doctolero and directed by Mark Reyes, Voltes V: Legacy will air right after 24 Oras on GMA Network with a live simulcast over Kapuso digital channels GTV, I Heart Movies, and Pinoy Hits. It will also be broadcast live on GMA Network’s International Channel, GMA Pinoy TV, and streamed live over Kapuso digital platform, Kapuso Stream, on YouTube and Facebook.
Meanwhile, after more than two months of reigning primetime TV, ABS-CBN’s action-drama teleserye FPJBQ is off to a new chapter.
During the show’s media conference on May 4, Coco Martin revealed a new Tanggol starting May 8. According to him, the new chapter will feature a major shift in Tanggol’s character for the better.
“Magsisimula na ang bagong yugto ng buhay ni Tanggol. Sa lahat ng kanyang mga natutunan sa kalye, sa Quiapo, at sa buhay, na-realize na niya na siguro panahon na para magkaroon din ng pagbabago sa kanyang buhay. Tignan natin kung ano ang magiging bagong journey ni Tanggol.”
The Kapamilya actor also promised an explosive episode on May 8 as the lives of the different characters finally entwined and wreaked havoc among themselves.
“Ayaw ko sana sagutin mas maganda surprise, kaya lang sige na. Sa May 8, ito ang pagtatagpo-tagpo ng bawat character. Dito na kami magkikita-kita at dito na maglalaban-laban ang bawat grupo.
“Yung May 8 talaga sinadya namin na talagang buuin siya para pahitikin at pasabugin ang lahat characters at bawat eksena. Actually two years tatakbo ‘yung plot from action to drama. Save the date.”
FPJBQ airs nightly after TV Patrol on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC.
