Talent manager Ogie Diaz lambasted Filipino motivational speaker Rendon Labador after he criticized several personalities for “clout.”
Labador recently criticized comedian Michael V, calling him obsolete.
On April 29, Michael V shared an Instagram post about “content.” Labador disagreed with this and shamed the comedian online.
As a result, netizens and famous personalities attacked him. Ogie Diaz was among Labador’s critics.
In Diaz’s Showbiz Update on May 22, he said that Labador’s antics of constantly arguing with celebrities and social media personalities might be a hindrance to his business.
Diaz exclaimed, “Kapag siya ay ganito ng ganito, hihina ang bentahan ng motivational rice. Parang hindi nakaka-[motivate] ang sinasabi ni Rendon.”
Labador has recently judged vlogger Slater Young for claiming that fantasizing about girls in group chats should be normalized.
Diaz expressed that Labador was simply milking attention even if it is ” undesirable ” publicity.
He shared, “Sa karamihan ng mga influencers, mas gusto nila na pinapatulan sila. Mas gusto nila na pinag-uusapan sila. Kahit ito’y bashing pa. Gusto nila ‘yan kasi nga, dun sila nakilala e.”
Ogie Diaz’s co-hosts warn him that Labador might clash with him next for his statement about him.
Labador criticizes celebrities online. He would even challenge them and call them stupid. Some of the celebrities he chided are Coco Martin, Slater Young, Bryanboy, Nadine Lustre, and many more.
