GMA Network’s mythical-fantasy series Mga Lihim ni Urduja (MNLU) failed to beat rival FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ) even on its last breath on the air.
After a little over two months on the air, the Kapuso series has finally conceded to the country’s primetime habit, FPJJBQ.
Based on the latest rating data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, MNLU was defeated by FPJBQ on its last episode on Friday, May 5.
MNLU scored a finale rating of 11.4 percent, 0.2 percent lower than FPJBQ‘s 11.6 percent.
Meanwhile, before its finale episode, the Kapuso series also scored a losing streak in its finale week.
On Monday, May 1, MNLU scored 10.4 percent, 1 percent lower than FPJBQ‘s 11.4 percent.
On the next day, Tuesday, May 2, MNLU managed to trim FPJBQ‘s lead to only 0.4 percent but still fell short of beating the Kapamilya teleserye’s rating at 10.8 vs. 11.2 percent.
On Wednesday, May 3, FPJBQ‘s lead started to rise again to 0.7 percent at 10.8 percent vs. 11.5 percent.
And on the eve of its final episode on Thursday, May 4, MNLU dropped further to 10.0 percent, 1.5 percent lower than FPJBQ‘s 11.5 percent ratings.
In terms of online views, MNLU‘s last episode was also significantly overpowered by the Coco Martin-led teleserye.
MNLU only reached 282 thousand total views for its finale episode, while FPJBQ raked in 8.3 million views on the same day.
