On May 8, Maja Salvador revealed that she would love to come back to Eat Bulaga as a host.
“Uy, I love Bulaga, oo naman,” she responded when asked about her plans to return to Eat Bulaga.
On May 27, Open 24/7 will start airing on GMA Network, a comedy sitcom starring Salvador as Mikaela and Vic Sotto as Boss Ez, the one in charge of the convenience store where the story takes place.
Joining them are Jose Manalo as Spark, Sparkle Sweethearts Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay as Kitty and Al, and Sparkle artists Riel Lomadilla as Bekbek, Anjay Anson as Andoy, Kimson Tan as Kokoy, Abed Green as Fred, and Bruce Roeland as Doe.
Also, many speculations surrounding Salvador’s departure from the show, Eat Bulaga. When asked if new projects were the reason for her departure, She made it clear that her shows, including Emoji Nation and Open 24/7, were projects in the pipeline long before her upcoming wedding.
“Para magstart na ng Emoji Nation, ng Open 24/7, kailangan ko munang may isa [ma-sacrifice],” Maja clarified. “Matagal na ‘to. Ang Emoji Nation, inoffer sa akin, 6 months ago, last year pa. Itong M-Zet, nag-inquire sila nung January.”
In March of this year, Salvadoor confirmed her upcoming wedding to Rambo Nunez, and a month later, her management, Crown Artist Management, announced that the actress is leaving Eat Bulaga due to her upcoming wedding and “uncertainties” surrounding the show.
According to her, “Focus muna tayo sa wedding. — May iba tayong shows na ginagawa, pero hindi mabigat.”
