On May 4, actress Lorna Tolentino stated that her experience working in FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’ to FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’ had not changed.
Tolentino attested to Coco Martin’s innovation skills, from ‘Ang Probinsyano’ to his latest action drama. This was at the media briefing for the new chapter of FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’, which LionhearTV covered.
The veteran actress expressed, “Ang nabago is just, parang wala kasi si Coco pa rin lahat eh. Si Coco talaga ang bumubuo ng storya ng Ang Probinsyano, si Coco din ang bumubuo ng Ang Batang Quiapo. So talagang it’s his pagiging genius at pagiging brilliant ang pumapasok sa bawat serye na nagaganap.”
As for her role in the series, Tolentino also compared her role as Lily in FPJAP to her character Amanda in FPJBQ. She explained, “Ang masasabi ko lang, ang pinaka buo ni Amanda, may pagmamahal siya, may love. Kay Lily kasi hindi totoo ‘yung pagmamahal niya, ito totoo ‘yung pagmamahal ni Amanda.”
As for comments claiming that the production was causing a disturbance in Quiapo, Tolentino recounted her positive experience taping for FPJAP in the same local area. She shared, “Hindi ko kasi nararamdaman ‘yun. Ang nararamdaman ko welcomed kami. Kasi kahit noong sa Ang Probinsyano, nagsho-shoot, nagte-taping din kami doon sa Quiapo, doon na nag-start ‘yung character ko na si Lily, sa Quiapo din eh. Wala namang naging — wala kaming naramdamang problema.”
FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’ stars Martin (actor-director-writer) with Supreme Actress Lovi Poe.
The Kapamilya action-drama features a stellar cast with Irma Adlawan, Cherry Pie Picache, John Estrada, Christopher de Leon, Santos-Concio, Tommy Abuel, Mark Lapid, Tolentino, Joey Marquez, McCoy De Leon, and many more.
The new chapter of the action-packed series FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’ started May 8 at 8 PM on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
