Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) continues to bring quality and accessible education to children in the country with its newest digital series “The Heroes of Zero,” which will focus on digital literacy, online safety, and responsible internet use targeted to children aged 5 to 8 years old.
The new program is a collaborative effort between the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. (PMHA) and UK-based organization Power of Zero, as a response to the increasing reliance on technology and digital devices among young children.
“The Heroes of Zero video series, which the Knowledge Channel so creatively designed in collaboration with PMHA, are short yet potent educational materials that aim to target values formation among our young learners in a medium that they can appreciate. PMHA is excited and all set to pilot the implementation of the Power of Zero project among our kindergarten pupils,” said PMHA national executive director, Dr. Carolina Uno-Rayco.
With the rising trend of digital dependence, KCFI, PMHA and Power of Zero understand the importance of equipping young children and parents with the necessary skills and knowledge to use technology safely and responsibly.
“The Heroes of Zero” launch will be streamed live on May 17 (Wednesday) on Knowledge Channel’s Facebook page and on Zoom through this link https://bit.ly/HERO2023.
