‘It’s Showtime’ host Karylle wishes she took more pictures with fellow actress Antoinette Taus during their time together.
On April 27, Taus shared a photo on Instagram of her with the SOP (Sobrang Okay Pare) cast in the 90s.
Karylle, who used to be a member of the now-defunct GMA program, was also seen in the photo.
“Twas surreal but nice being complete again. Hehe. I’ve missed you @anakarylle @kylareal @mariajolina_ig! How the years fly by!” Taus wrote.
Karylle saw the post and decided to respond, saying she wishes more pictures of them were taken.
“Nice pic! Wish we took more photos back then! Haha! I saw your pic pala sa taping!” she commented.
The popular television show ran from February 2, 1997, to February 27, 2010, and featured talented veteran singers, popular segments, and well-known performers.
Many of the hosts from SOP continued to host and perform on its replacement programs, such as ‘Party Pilipinas’ and ‘Sunday All Stars’, until APT Entertainment took over the timeslot and aired its own program, ‘Sunday PinaSaya’.
After four years, GMA-7’s musical-variety unit, which also produced SOP, decided to bring back the timeslot with an updated program called ‘All-Out Sunday’.
However, it may be different from SOP and its predecessors as most of the cast members and performers have moved on to different careers and joined other television networks.
It is rumored that Taus and Karylle had a falling out after Karylle started a relationship with Taus’s then-boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes. Karylle later ended her relationship with Dingdong after three years.
Dingdong is now with Marian Rivera, while Karylle is set with Spongecola band vocalist Yael Yuzon.
