The Sparkle GMA Network love team of Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay will continue appearing on screens after their collaboration in ‘Luv Is: Caught In His Arms’ as they already have a follow-up project lined up.
The romantic finale of ‘Luv Is’ was aired on March 10, and now they are preparing for the highly anticipated sitcom ‘Open 24/7’ starring Vic Sotto, Jose Manalo, and Maja Salvador.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, AlFia, the on-screen couple, expressed their surprise and excitement about being part of this major sitcom.
Ansay shared, “Actually, nagulat kami kasi biglaan po talaga ‘yun parang sinabi sa amin na kunwari ngayon, tapos kinabukasan sinabi may zoom kami, ‘tapos may bago raw kaming sitcom. Tapos hindi pa namin alam nung una na kasama namin sila Bossing.”
“Tapos nung nalaman namin, sabi namin, ‘yung mga pinapangarap lang namin dati na maka-work, napapanood lang namin sa TV is makakasama na namin ngayon,” he added.
Pablo also shared a story about their experience during a story conference via Zoom, where they unexpectedly saw the three A-list stars. She mentioned, “Akala po kasi namin, nung natanggap namin ‘yung text..Sabi namin, saan po yan?, [tapos sinabi], ‘Oh! Sitcom n’yo yan!’. So, hindi pa po namin alam, kung sino ‘yung cast, ‘tapos nagulat po kami. Pagbukas ng Zoom, andun si Bossing Vic Sotto, si Sir. Jose Manalo, si Miss Maja Salvador.”
She added, “I think lahat po halos ng artista, lalo na po si Bossing, goals talaga silang tatlo na maka-work. Lalo na kung, gusto mo talagang maging matagumpay na artista. Nasa bucket list mo talaga sila na maka-work, lalo na kung ang gusto mo na i-pursue is comedy. Kasi, when it comes to comedy, sila agad ‘yung mga maiisip mo, e. Ang nagpasaya pa lalo to this sitcom [is] first sitcom po namin siya.”
Aside from ‘Luv Is: Caught In His Arms’, AlFia was also seen in ‘Raya Sirena’ (2022) and ‘Prima Donnas: Book 2’ (2022).
