Singer-actress Jonalyn Roxas Viray, AKA “Jona” expressed her gratitude to ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda after he praised her talent.
In ‘It’s Showtime’ on May 1, Jona was moved to tears by one of the ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ semifinalists.

“For someone like Jona, one of the best vocalists in the Philippines, na nakasama na niya at narinig na niya ang pinakamahuhusay na boses sa ASAP pero na overwhelm pa rin siya sa galing mo. That must be something. Naiyak si Jona ‘di ba,” said Vice Ganda.
The contestant later became the first grand finalist of the season at the end of the episode.
Jona tweeted on May 1, thanking Vice Ganda for recognizing her singing talent.
