GMA Network’s newest afternoon drama, ‘The Seed of Love’, premiered May 8. How did it fare in TV ratings?
According to preliminary overnight rating data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘The Seed of Love’ registered a rating of 7.0 percent. This beat rival programs Cinecinco with 0.5 percent and ‘A Soldier’s Heart’ with 0.3 percent.
In a tweet by GMA Drama on Tuesday, May 9, it thanked all its viewers for warmly welcoming ‘The Seed of Love’.

The show’s lead actress, Glaiza de Castro, also took to social media to thank everyone who watched the premiere of their latest series.
“Maraming salamat sa pagtutok sa #TheSeedOfLoveWorldPremiere today! Super nostalgic nung mga scenes namin sa Banaue! Bukas ulit!,” de Castro wrote in an Instagram post on Monday, May 8.
In the first episode, ‘The Seed of Love’ featured the unexpected meet-up of wedding planner and photographer Eileen (played by Glaiza) and architect Bobby (played by Mike Tan).
While in Banaue mountains, an unexpected accident brought their fates together. They helped deliver a pregnant woman in labor on the side of the road.
‘The Seed of Love’ airs weekday afternoons at 4:05 p.m., right after ‘Arabella’, on GMA Network and the digital channel Pinoy Hits.
