With the comeback of the hit tabloid talk show Face2Face on TV5 on May 1, how did it fare in TV ratings?
Based on the preliminary overnight rating data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, Face2Face managed to register a rating of 1.3 percent on its first episode.
According to some observers, the new Face2Face is still far from what viewers were used to watching during Amy Perez and Gelli de Belen’s stint.
With the first episode featuring a customer complaining against a vendor selling stale fish, it lacked the same energy and lively encounters that Face2Face was known for. The host, Karla Estrada, also seemed lacking in connection with the guests and the topic.
Meanwhile, Face2Face seemed to have retained the same audience watching the former pre-noontime show Tropang LOL. Before its exit from television, Tropang LOL also used to average 1 to 2 percent ratings.
It’s Showtime, on the other hand, has seen improvement in its TV ratings after returned to its original 12-noon timeslot.
Based on the same rating report, the Kapamilya noontime show scored a 3.0 percent rating, an improvement from the previous average of 2 to 2.5 percent.
