Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo are set to star as Luna and Kalix in the upcoming TV adaptation of the hit novel ‘The Rain in Espana’. The adaptation will screen on May 1 on Vivamax.
The novel, written by Gwy Saludes in 2019, gained a massive following among romance enthusiasts and is now being adapted for television.
During the April 19 press conference for the upcoming TV series, Heaven Peralejo expressed her satisfaction with her on-screen partner, saying, “Kung iba po yung ka-partner ko, siguro may kulang.”
Marco Gallo also shared his positive experience working with the actress. He said, “Working with her was the best work I’ve ever done. She was just like what she said earlier, the happy pill.”
It’s apparent that the two actors have developed great chemistry between their characters on screen. However, netizens have been buzzing about their off-screen romance, which both actors have refused to clarify.
According to Gwy Saludes, she couldn’t believe that her work had become this big. The writer said, “Back in 2019 when I wrote this series, hindi ko alam na ganito na siya kalaki. — Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na gawa ko ‘to.”
The series director, Theodore Boborol, also commented on the excellent working relationship between the actors. He said they had become much closer throughout filming. As this is the first time both actors have starred in a romantic comedy series, the director focused on the less serious scenes to help the actors feel more comfortable with each other.
The upcoming TV adaptation of ‘The Rain in España’ looks promising. Fans are eagerly anticipating its premiere on May 1 on Vivamax.
