On May 4, Kapuso fashion icon Heart Evangelista affirmed that she would send ZION Philippines massage chair to her friends Kevin Kwan and Christian Louboutin.
At the media event for her endorsement deal with ZION Philippines, which LionhearTV covered, Evangelista highlighted how she clicked with Kwan and helped her with her career.
“I think I have two people that/ I want to give the chair to– one would be Kevin Kwan, because I owe him a lot. I met him at an event during dinner, and we clicked, and he helped me a lot with my career in terms of/ really promoting Asian Power in the West.”
She then noted that sending the massage chair to the Crazy Rich Asians author would fit his busy schedule while writing a book.
“He’s super hardworking, and when he’s writing a book, he’s just in the house the whole day–his brain is working, and I feel like this is a reminder that he needs to pause.”
Evangelista also had her friendship with Louboutin in mind when she wished to send a ZION Philippines massage chair to the French fashion designer.
“Another one is Christian Louboutin, he’s such a nice person, I also met him one time and we became friends. He would visit me, he would contact me, he’s also all over the place, dahil siya ‘yung nag-imbento ng high heels, dapat ma-feel niya ‘to dahil sacrifice din talaga siya. So parang bagay din sa kaniya ‘yung chair.”
Earlier, Louboutin helped promote Evangelista’s Kapuso series, ‘I Left My Heart In Sorsogon,’ with Incubus lead singer Brandon Boyd. Aside from that, Kwan picked the Kapuso fashion icon in the Crazy Rich Asians feature.
