Heart Evangelista talked about the possibility of her conceiving a child once again.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on May 12, she shared that she did not plan on becoming a mother at first.
“In the beginning I must say, kasi ako ‘yung bunso sa pamilya namin, and my mom was very like hardcore in terms of kailangan perfect ka, kailangan ganyan ka, so having a baby wasn’t really a priority for me because I was always been trained to be a go-getter, hardworking, no vacations, so nung time na ‘yun takot ako mabuntis even if I was married.
“But when I got pregnant, I didn’t realize how much I wanted it so badly. It changed me a lot because I didn’t think I would be a good mom. I didn’t think that I wanted to be a mom. But that’s something that I’m very thankful for, that even for a brief moment in my life, I realized that I can be a better person.
“Not necessarily that you have to give birth, or not necessarily that you have to physically be a mom, but the idea, and what my angels made me feel, [that’s] good enough for me,” she said.
She got pregnant in 2018 with twins, but she had a miscarriage.
When asked if she wanted to conceive again, Evangelista admitted that she is not closing her doors on becoming a mother.
“Honestly I don’t know. If I’ll be a mom, why not? I remember at the time, pinagdasal ko na find your way back to me in any form. And for me, ni hindi ko pinipilit ‘yung mga bagay-bagay.
“I don’t allow myself to be heartbroken dahil may bagay na hindi binigay sa akin. Because I’m always grateful,” she said.
Evangelista is married to Senator Chiz Escudero. On February 15, 2015, they had a private wedding ceremony at the Balesin Island Club in the Philippines.
She is currently staying in Paris as she acquired a new apartment in the city which she has been slowly furnishing even till this day.
