Bea-Alden no more!
GMA Pictures, Viva Films, and APT Entertainment announced postponement of the supposed Bea-Alden movie with the working title A Moment to Remember.
In their joint official statement released on May 2, the three film outfits decided to postpone the movie due to scheduling conflicts.
It also stated, a new cast and cinema release would be announced at the proper time.
“GMA Pictures, Viva Films, and APT Entertainment would like to announce the postponement of the movie, A Moment To Remember, originally topbilled by Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo, due to scheduling conflicts within the production team.
“The new production date, cast, and cinema release will be announced in due time. Thank you,”
In 2021, GMA Network announced Richards and Alonzo’s movie project, which was supposed to be a Philippine adaptation of the 2001 Japanese drama Pure Soul.
Meanwhile, prior to the postponement, rumors about personality clash between the two surfaced online.
In an April 25 report by BALITA, the two Kapuso stars allegedly had a “personality clash” on the set of their recently concluded Kapuso primetime series “Start-Up PH.”
According to the report, Richards and Alonzo had a misunderstanding that led to their not wanting to working with each other again.
To quell speculations on the postponement–Alonzo’s talent management agency also released an official statement.
In the statement shared by Twitter account @moviequeenbea on May 3, it said that Alonzo has decided to respectfully decline the project due to her full schedule.
“In the spirit of fairness, we deemed it appropriate to advise the producers of Special Memory, a movie adaptation of A Moment to Remember, that Ms. Bea Alonzo had to respectfully beg off from this movie project due to her full schedule this year.
“Ms. Bea Alonzo has contractual obligations with GMA Network to fulfill, and that shall remain as our top priority!”
