On May 3, Kapuso journalist Emil Sumangil recalled his 18 years at GMA Network and three years at ABS-CBN.
At the media conference for his upcoming Kapuso program, ‘Resibo: Walang Lusot Ang May Atraso’, which LionhearTV covered, Sumangil detailed his 21-year media career.
He then noted how he slowly gained more opportunities, such as anchoring News TV’s ‘Quick Response Team’ and co-hosting ‘Dapat Alam Mo’.
He also cited how he remained mostly a crime reporter through his 18 years on GMA Network.
He also cited his experience covering news events, such as the Maguindanao Massacre and the Marawi Siege.
As for his latest career milestone, Sumangil helms the GMA Public Affairs multi-platform public service program, ‘Resibo: Walang Lusot ang May Atraso’.Â
He will handle cases, grievances, and complaints from Filipinos through a resolution-based approach.
‘Resibo: Walang Lusot Ang May Atraso’ starts on May 7 on GMA and GTV, with a simulcast on DZBB, Super Radyo in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Palawan, General Santos, and Kalibo as well as live streaming on GMA Public Affairs YouTube channel and social media accounts.
