Filipino actress Ellen Adarna candidly answered questions about why she took a break from the spotlight with her husband, Derek Ramsay.
Adarna, ambassador for Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetics, was present at the grand opening of Shinagawa’s highly specialized facility in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on April 26.
Regarding her decision to take a break, Adarna said, “Ayoko mag-taping, ayoko mag-soap. Alam naman natin na it requires a lot of energy and time away from family. It is my choice to take a break.”
The actress appeared to live a happy life with her husband, Derek Ramsay. She stated, “We’re just really enjoying our time kasi 2 years palang kaming married.”
“At the first start, of course, we have conflicts, — now the boundaries are set, and we respect both parties. So when we have arguments, it’s very chill,” Adarna added, explaining how conflicts between her and her husband are easily and respectfully resolved.
We haven’t seen Ramsay on television or movies for a long time now. The actor appears to enjoy married life, especially their recent trip to New Zealand. He shared it on Instagram to celebrate Adarna’s birthday.
Adarna said they met at the right time. She said her husband has been in the business for quite some time and he’s now 47; she thinks it is right to take a break.
She also revealed her plans to have a baby this year; another reason why she is not planning to return to show business anytime soon.
Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetics has expanded in the Philippines with the launch of its updated facility, the Shinagawa Diagnostic and Preventive Care Center in Taguig’s Bonifacio Global City. Ellen Adarna is their brand ambassador.
