Eat Bulaga! received offers from two TV stations where they can air their noontime show.
Recently, rumors spread that Romeo Jalosjos removed TAPE’s co-founder and CEO Antonio Tuviera, a long-time ally of Tito, Vic, and Joey (TVJ), and threatened to “rebrand” the show without them.
Jalosjos is currently the chairman of TAPE, Inc., which produces Eat Bulaga!
Jalosjos has since agreed to TVJ’s terms, allowing the existing production staff to stay, with a few program changes—an agreement that would make TVJ stay in Eat Bulaga!
Despite coming to terms, reports say that there is still a chance that Eat Bulaga! will move into a new network because of internal conflict between the stakeholders.
In a report by PEP on April 26, Senate President Tito Sotto confirmed that they got offers from two stations.
“I have no problem saying that we’re getting offers from two other stations.
“We acquired the services of Divina Law to look into everything… the situation. Kasi, it’s not because of us or for us. It’s because of the small people in the production,” he said.
The TV stations were NET25 and TV5.
In PEP’s interview with NET25 president Ceasar Vallejos, he said to have Eat Bulaga! in their station would be an honorable feat.
“Since TVJ is on NET25 already, we are open to that. Sino po ba ang tatanggi sa pagkakaroon ng ganyang programa?
“We are open to that, and we are thankful also if that happens.
“NET25 always supports harmony, unity in any field. That includes industry associations.
“We are not happy with many issues that surrounds… not only what happened to them but in any issues that concerns celebrities, because we are family-friendly, wholesome channel. And as much as possible, we promote values that promote harmony and unity.
“But with what’s happening to other programs, of course we feel bad about that. But, we are contented that TVJ is on Net 25,” he said.
