The beloved Filipino longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga is poised to make a groundbreaking move by simultaneously airing on two different TV networks amid rumors of a network transfer.
Speculations about the show’s departure from its long-time home, GMA Network, have been fueled by reported issues within TAPE Inc. on May 22.
Eat Bulaga has been airing on GMA Network for 25 years now.
During the show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. in a noteworthy interview on April 19, featuring Bullet Jalosjos, the chief finance officer of Television and Production Exponent (TAPE) Inc., had initially reassured fans that Eat Bulaga would remain on GMA Network.
However, rumors are now spreading about issues between TAPE Inc. and TVJ, which is why speculations of Eat Bulaga will transfer to another TV network.
According to Cristy Fermin, on the popular YouTube vlog Showbiz Now Na, there is a producer who will accept Eat Bulaga if Tito, Vic, and Joey decide to switch TV networks.
“Tinanong ko nga ‘yung source ko, ano talaga? ‘Lilipat, napakabilis ng sagot, lilipat,” she added.
She also hinted at a headcount being conducted, with all co-hosts allegedly agreeing to make the transition alongside TVJ.
Some netizens expressed dismay about the controversies surrounding Eat Bulaga‘s transfer to a new channel.
One of the comments said, “hindi naman kawalan sa gma ang pag umalis eat bulaga madami sila fresh talents artists na pwwde ilagay sa noontime show nila na gagawin.”
Some expressed their loyalty to watching Eat Bulaga, “YES, NO MATTER WHAT CHANNEL, WE WILL WATCH THERE AS LONG AS EAT BULAGA, DABARKADS FOREVER.”
Both TAPE Inc. and GMA Network have remained silent regarding the rumors. The anticipation grows among fans and followers as they eagerly anticipate updates and announcements from the cherished hosts and the show’s production team, uncertain of what lies ahead for the enduring noontime program.
