On May 4, Kapamilya actor-director Coco Martin revealed why he risked getting a large-scale production for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
At the media conference for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo‘s new chapter, which LionhearTV covered, Martin maintained that he knew it was worth having a star-studded cast onboard the Kapamilya action-drama.
And then nagbunga nga.
He then attributed his love for Philippine Cinema as a young moviegoer to how he valued talented actors as showrunner-director.
He also reiterated his dream of working with all the great actors in the Phillippines.
He then expressed excitement about creating stories for their actors and appreciation for stars and their commitment to their roles.
“Kaya excited na excited ako na everytime na magcre-creative kami, everytime na gagawa kami ng kwento, kasi nakikita kung papaano nila isu-surprise nila ‘yung manonood eh, paano nila aatakihin ‘yung bawat character, and then very thankful ako kasi pumayag sila, na hindi nila hinindian ‘yung proyekto, at nagtiwala sila sa akin.”
On the financial side of the production, Martin admitted that he remained distant from the negotiations between the actors and the show.
Martin stars in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo with the Supreme Actress Lovi Poe.
The Kapamilya action-drama features a stellar cast with Irma Adlawan, Cherrie Pie Picache, John Estrada, Christopher de Leon, Charo Santos-Concio, Tommy Abuel, Mark Lapid, Lorna Tolentino, Joey Marquez, and many more.
