On May 4, Kapamilya actor-director Coco Martin explains why he cast McCoy De Leon in a challenging role.
At the media conference for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s new chapter, which LionhearTV covered, Martin said he wanted to show off De Leon’s acting range in his debut role in the Kapamilya action drama.
He also wanted to ensure that the series showcased unpredictable storylines in the series.
As for De Leon, he considered the chance to play the role a “once-in-a-lifetime chance.”
He also highlighted how the seasoned cast and Martin as director helped him achieve his performance in FPJ’s’ Batang Quiapo’.
Kailangan may kakaiba– may iba.”
As for his reaction to people’s response to his performance, De Leon appreciated viewers’ annoyance with his character.
FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’ stars Martin (actor-director-writer) with Supreme Actress Lovi Poe.
The Kapamilya action-drama features a stellar cast with Irma Adlawan, Cherry Pie Picache, John Estrada, Christopher de Leon, Charo Santos-Concio, Tommy Abuel, Mark Lapid, Lorna Tolentino, Joey Marquez, De Leon, and many more.
The next chapter of the action-packed series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo premiered on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page on May 8.
