“Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) 2022” Celeste Cortesi shaded MUP after liking a post about her lack of exposure.
On May 14, the “Miss Universe” 2023 Coronation Night was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Cortesi walked gracefully as “Miss Universe Philippines 2022” for the last time.
Although she walked beautifully wearing her metallic gold gown with a train, netizens still argued that the beauty queen’s exposure was not enough.
One netizen claimed that the Top 18 beauty queens ate up Cortesi’s exposure.
“Some people are complaining. It seems like Celeste’s air time is getting shorter and shorter. Allowing the 18 ladies to take the ramp ate up her time. Halos walang anino niya dito, matatapos na lang.”
Among the 1.7k likes from netizens, Cortesi’s official Instagram account was seen. This fuelled rumors that MUP did not give her enough exposure.
In a separate post, Cortesi also posted another one of her looks wearing a silver dress.
Her caption caught the attention of netizens who claimed the beauty queen was throwing shade at MUP.

Celeste Cortesi represented the Philippines in the 2022 Miss Universe pageant. However, she bowed out early, which was the first time since 2009 that the Philippines’ representative did not make it to the semifinals.
