ABS-CBN News’ pool of reporters delivers fresh and relevant stories via “Patrol ng Pilipino” vertical short-form videos on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

“Patrol ng Pilipino” aims to reach more audiences and bring bite-sized content about current events, trending news, and everyday stories of hope and inspiration.

It also features relevant explainers, fun and interesting street interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage of the journalists’ news coverage.

Netizens expressed their excitement towards “Patrol ng Pilipino.”

“I’m excited to see the people behind the camera being labeled as Patrol ng Pilipino too for they are all part of this mobile and social media journalism,” Loreto Laurence Aguilar said on Facebook.

“Ang cutie talaga ng concept nitong #PatrolngPilipino, mabilis nag pababalita na madali lang din maintindihan,” said Twitter user @ALTiwantTFC.

“Hats off to ABS-CBN colleagues for this great new initiative of peeling back the curtain on news gathering and news production. By making our journalistic practice more transparent and accessible to the public, we invite them to take part in the process + promote media literacy,” Journalist Jhesset Enano shared on Twitter.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN News’ flagship news program “TV Patrol” also pivoted to TikTok, posting snippets of their reports and sharing original content about current events.
