It’s the first-ever ABS-CBN-produced series to air on GMA Network’s primetime block.
History was made last night, May 29, as the groundbreaking new primetime series, Unbreak My Heart, officially aired its maiden episodes on the Kapuso primetime block, GMA Telebabad. Marking several milestones for Philippine entertainment, the series offers so many reasons why you can not afford to miss a single episode.

It is GMA Network and ABS-CBN’s first-ever collaboration series.
The fact that media giants GMA Network and ABS-CBN used to be fierce free TV rivals, alone, is enough to blow your mind away. The invisible barrier made by the so-called ‘network war’ got practically torn down, because of this groundbreaking partnership. While that may not be the case to some, the series has at least laid down the foundation for bigger succeeding collaborations, between the two media companies.
The series brought together the brightest Kapuso and Kapamilya stars.
Before Unbreak My Heart, the almost only way to combine Kapuso and Kapamilya stars in the same project, was through a movie production. But with both networks now increasingly becoming more open to collaborations, stars are no longer confined within their home network. This new drama was a strong testament to that, as big Kapamilya stars, Jodi Sta. Maria and Joshua Garcia, as well as Kapuso stars, Richard Yap and Gabbi Garcia, are all sharing the lead.
The series is produced by award-winning teleserye behemoth, Dreamscape Entertainment.
Known for producing some of the most iconic dramas in the history of local television, Dreamscape Entertainment ups the ante of teleserye production, by introducing many firsts, through the series. Aside from assembling some of the brightest stars from both ABS-CBN and GMA Network, the series also stream advanced episodes, on leading VOD platforms, Viu and iWantTFC, ensuring the series is seen worldwide by many audiences. It is also the first local series to shoot majority of its scenes in the picturesque European country of Switzerland. The series is set to showcase the beauty of Italy, as well.
It marks the reunion of the phenomenal love team, Jodi and Richard.
Sta. Maria and Yap’s onscreen team-up catapulted them to phenomenal success in 2012. Thanks to the massively popular, Be Careful with My Heart, Sta. Maria had her long-awaited big break, while Yap took a massive take off in his then-juvenile acting career. With Unbreak My Heart, Yap and Sta. Maria officially quenches their faithful fans’ thirst, after years of waiting for their highly-anticipated reunion.
Esteemed directors, Emmanuel Palo and Dolly Dulu are at the directorial helm.
Aided by an exemplary creative team, Paolo and Dulu, offer cinematic direction for Unbreak My Heart. Dulu’s contemporary vision ensures that the series will find its way to the hearts of the younger audience, while more experienced and seasoned, Palo, ensures that the qualities that make the Pinoy teleserye gripping and larger-than-life, are well-embedded in the drama’s very core.
