Kapamilya host-comedian Vice Ganda recently shared about a best friend who unfollowed him after the hotly contested 2022 national elections.
During the Monday, April 3 episode of It’s Showtime, Vice and co-hosts Kim Chiu, Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario opened the topic about their best friends. After getting the names of the best friends of his co-hosts, Vice got asked by Kim Chiu who his best friend is in showbiz.
“Ikaw ikaw, sinong bestfriend mo?” Chiu inquired.
In response, Vice said “Di ko na alam, kasi alam ko best friend ko sya pero in-unfollow nya ‘ko. Nagtaka ako, after election, bakit mo ako in-unfollow. Ikaw rin diba in-unfollow diba? (pointing to Vhong Navarro).
Navarro, meanwhile, laughingly affirmed, “Oo, parehas tayo.”
Kim Chiu and Jhong Hilario then tried to get the name of Vice Ganda’s former best friend, but the Unkabogable star opted not to answer.
Billy Crawford was a known best friend of Vice when they were still together in It’s Showtime. The two, however, unfollowed each other in 2021 when Crawford left the Kapamilya noontime show to lead its rival on TV5, Lunch Out Loud.
Removing Crawford from the equation, the person to whom Vice might be referring could be either Toni or Alex Gonzaga.
The Gonzaga sisters are known as close friends of Vice. Toni and Vice starred in the movie This Guy’s in Love with U Mare! while Alex worked with Vice in The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.
During the 2022 elections, the Gonzaga sisters supported current president Ferdinand Marcos Jr., while Vice Ganda fought for former Vice President Leni Robredo.
And upon checking Alex and Toni’s Instagram, they are no longer following Vice Ganda, although Vice still follows the two.
