Kapamilya host-comedian Vice Ganda recently shared a text conversation with his best friend Coco Martin that got him teary-eyed.
During the Isip Bata segment on It’s Showtime‘s March 30 episode, Vice was talking to one of their Batang Cutepos, Argus, when the topic of Coco Martin came up.
Argus asked Vice Ganda when the Batang Quiapo lead star will go back to It’s Showtime, as he already misses him.
During their conversation, Vice finds a way to insert his recent exchange with Martin, asking him if he can guest on his upcoming birthday production in the noontime show. Instead of getting an answer, Vice shared that Coco Martin only replied that he misses him.
“Tinanong kita kung pede kang mag guest, ang sagot mo ‘I miss you Best’….Tumulo nga yung luha ko dito eh.” Vice shared.
“Sabi ko, birthday ko punta ka sa Showtime…..may birthday special ako…I miss you best… Biglang tumunog sa utak ko yung ‘Kung wala ka nang maintin’… naluha talaga ko day” Vice continued while demonstrating how his tears fell down from his left eye.
Vhong Navarro then asked “Pero naindintihan mo naman sya?”
Vice then laughingly replied, “Oo, pero may luha (laughing). Ang mahalaga na miss daw nya ako.”
Vice and Martin were known as best friends way before they entered mainstream showbiz.
In his interview with Vice in Gandang Gabi Vice in May 2014, the Primetime King shared how they started their friendship.
According to him, it started during a Christmas Party event at Max’s Restaurant, where he worked as a waiter. Vice was one of the host comedians at that time, and he tried to ask the Kapamilya actor to participate in his skit, but he declined multiple times. After the party, the two meet again when Martin is invited by his cousin, who happens to be Vice’s friend, to watch his comedy show in Laffline. From there, they started to get along well and became best friends afterward.
In February 2023, Vice shared how proud he is of Coco’s achievements in showbiz.
“Napaproud ako saming dalawa. Sobra! Ang proud ko lang na magbestfriend kami wala pa kmi sa showbiz. Tapos ngayon yung bestfriend ko Primetime King na! Kakakilabot! Ang saya! Ang galing mo Deng!!!!”
