On March 31, Viva artist Ryle Santiago revealed his parents’ dreams of him being Sarah Geronimo’s opening act at a concert.
At the media conference for his contract signing with Viva Artist Agency, which LionhearTV covered, Santiago assured that he would be “building up” for the chance to be Sarah G’s opening act.
He revealed, “Actually, it’s a dream of my parents na I would open for Sarah Geronimo. So, that’s something that might happen in the future, but siyempre, we have to build on that first. Kailangan ko muna pagtrabahuhan ‘yun.”
At the same time, Santiago also disclosed his showbiz crushes.
He shared, “Growing up po, hindi naman po ‘to secret, but growing up po, crush na crush ko po si Aubrey Miles. ..Siyempre, sino ba naman ang hindi mabibighani kay ate Anne Curtis, ‘yun na lang po.”
Santiago said he didn’t expect to be an artist when he was younger despite his talent for performing.
“Hindi ko talaga siya talaga pinangarap na straight–forward na gusto ko ‘yan. Late na po ‘yun nangyari, siguro mga 13 ko na ‘yun na-realize. But when I was young po kasi, all I wanted to do was perform, to sing, to act, to dance, ‘yun po talaga ‘yung gusto ko growing up.”
Santiago was a member of the ‘It’s Showtime’ boy band Hashtags, alongside Natividad, Ross, Marquez, and de Leon.
He was a part of the productions #ParangNormalActivity, Bakwit Boys, The General’s Daughter, and Tubig at Langis. Santiago dabbled in music as well, with his song Iniismol.
Santiago signed a contract with the Viva Artist Agency as their newest artist, accompanied by his parents, Sherilyn Reyes and Chris Tan, and his siblings, Lorenz and Anya.
