Richard Poon flexed his meeting with former president Rodrigo Duterte on social media.
On April 2, via a facebook post, Poon detailed how he wanted his book to be signed by Duterte in Davao. He asked his friend if it was possible. He was shocked when Senator Bong Go called him and said that everything was already arranged.
“Having a pending show in Davao, I had a small thought na I wanted to have FPRRD sign my book sana, so I asked my friend Nikka Sotelo if it was possible.
“I took my early flight to Davao yesterday without any update from Nikk. Come evening, Senator Bong Go surprisingly called me and said everything was arranged (Nikka called & said she wanted to surprise me ).”
Poon posted that the meeting with the former president lasted for four hours.
“After I finished my event commitment, FPRRD came and graciously shared 4 HOURS of his time & let me ask him all the curious questions I had in mind. What an unforgettable opportunity for a serious (and not so serious
) conversation with the former President.
“He said next time, he will take me to the slums, kaming dalawa lang. Exciting,” he captioned.
Poon is vocal about his support of Duterte on his social media platforms.
