On April 5, Kapuso star Radson Flores felt proud about bagging his role of Mark Gordon in Voltes V: Legacy.
At the Voltes V: Legacy Pocket Interview, which LionhearTV covered, Flores acknowledged the significance of the opportunity of his role in the series as a new actor.
“‘Yung pinaka proud po talaga ako as Mark Gordon is siyempre ‘yung na-bag ko po yung role. Kasi siyempre, bilang isang newbie po na actor, mahirap po talagang makakuha ng project and mahirap po siyang i-sustain.”
He then attributed landing his role to luck, hard work, and God.
“So, may halo din pong luck or praise from the Lord na nakuha ko po ‘yung role. And, may halo din po na hardwork. So, kahit anong mangyari, lagi ko pong ipagmamalaki na nakuha ko po ‘tong role na ‘to and I’m proud of it.”
He then recounted the challenges he encountered portraying his role.
“The most challenging po talaga sa akin, for sure po, is ‘yung acting part. Kasi, bilang newbie po, hindi po ganon ka haba ‘yung exposure ko sa acting kasi tinuro po sa amin ito ng coach po namin and ng teacher po namin na ang acting is a way of life po talaga.
“Hindi po siya ‘yung ginagawa sa set lang. Kumbaga kahit saang part po kayo of work, kailangan mayroon pa rin kayong ginagawang exercises or parang habits na makakatulong sayo to develop as a good actor.”
Flores stars Voltes V: Legacy with Miguel Tanfelix, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, and Ysabel Ortega.
The sci-fi series features Martin del Rosario, Liezel Lopez, Epi Quizon, Carlo Gonzales, Gabby Eigenmann, Neil Ryan Sese, Albert Martinez, Christian Vasquez, Carla Abellana, Dennis Trillo, and many more.
The upcoming series will have a cinema sneak-peak event (Voltes V Legacy: The Cinematic Experience) showing the first three weeks of the series before its much-awaited premiere on primetime TV in May, from April 19 to 25, in SM Cinemas Nationwide.
As for the TV airing of the Kapuso sci-fi adaptation, Voltes V: Legacy, directed by Mark Reyes, will be airing soon on GMA Network.
