Amid his busy schedule and his upcoming stage musical ‘Ibarra’, the Kapamilya leading man revealed that multiple projects with some of the former Star Magic ‘OGs’ are currently in the works.
Piolo Pascual is looking forward to upcoming projects with former Kapamilya artists and original “Star Magic babies” Bea Alonzo, Heart Evangelista, and John Lloyd Cruz. The four recently hung out together, with fellow actors Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador, and Diether Ocampo.
During the press conference for Ibarra, last April 19, at the GSIS Museum, in CCP Complex, Pascual excitedly talked about how the reunion happened. He also talked about how they enjoyed catching up and walking down memory lane.
The actor shared, “It was Mr. M’s idea and Tita Mariole’s. We’ve always wanted to get together. Finally, it happened. Nagpa-cater sina Mr. M and Tita Mariole sa unit nila, and then we all came together, and nobody wanted to leave. It was a super good reunion, and since then, we’ve been seeing each other almost every week.”
Asked about what memories and topics they discussed during the gathering, he revealed that several projects with Alonzo, Evangelista, and Cruz, are possible, and actually in the works.
“Marami. Si Heart at si Bea gusto mag pelikula. Tapos, I’m actually doing a project with Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) and already talked about it with JL…about what we’re gonna do with Mr. M. But, of course, we can’t disclose it yet, until things are final, ” he said, adding a project inspired by the viral memes featuring him and fellow top leading men, Jericho Rosales, John Lloyd Cruz, and Diether Ocampo.
“But definitely, there are a lot of projects that we are going to be working on…” he noted.
