Ken Chan’s first-ever solo movie ‘Papa Mascot’ is generating buzz, with director Louie Ignacio confident that the actor’s astounding performance will win international recognition.
LionhearTV attended a press conference for Papa Mascot at Café Claus TanDang Sora on April 10. During the event, Chan spoke about the challenges and preparations he underwent during the filming process.
“Hindi na din po ako naliligo sa location, — kung ano po yung putik sa paa ko pag matutulog ako tuwing hindi ko eksena, may putik pa yung paa ko, hindi ko na hinuhugasan,” shared Ken Chan.
Dir. Ignacio praised the young actor for his dedication and willingness to perform above and beyond.
“Ginawa itong story na ito, talagang for Ken,” shared Dir. Louie, “Sabi ko, ‘Ikaw, Ken Chan ka, bakit wala kang solo (movie)? Puro ka may ka love team. Gawa tayo.”
In previous endeavors, Ken Chan had the opportunity to take center stage as the sole protagonist, a refreshing change for the talented actor.

‘Papa Mascot’ is the latest film directed by Louie Ignacio and starring Ken Chan. It also stars Miles Ocampo, Gabby Eigenmann, Liza Diño, and Erin Rose Espiritu. Produced by Wide International, it opens starting April 26 in the PH theatre.
