On April 5, Kapuso stars Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega detailed how they began knowing each other through ‘Voltes V: Legacy’.
At the ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ Pocket Interview, which LionhearTV covered, Tanfelix cited how the three-year production process of the series resulted in his closeness with Ortega.
He shared, “Dito talaga kami nagsimula ni Ysabel na nagkakilala, kasi in What We Could Be pumasok– ‘yun nga, matagal kasi ‘yung proseso ng taping ng Voltes V: Legacy kaya pumasok ‘yung ibang shows. Pero kung titignan mo, dito ko nakilala si Ysabel.”
He then attested how their time together in the series helped deepen their relationship.
He furthered, “Actually, hanggang noong isang linggo, nagte-taping pa rin kami ng Voltes V: Legacy, so technically, nakikilala ko pa rin siya hanggang ngayon dahil nagte-taping pa rin kami ng Voltes V: Legacy. And yes I agree, na hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yung Voltes V na show, kasi sa relationship namin ni Ysabel dito kami nagkakilala. Dito naging malalim ‘yung relationship namin.”
Ortega agreed with Tanfelix, noting how they developed their relationship through the production of the series. She confirmed, “Yes, I agree, three years rin po ng buhay namin ‘yung Voltes V, and you know ang dami pong nangyari and definitely mas nakilala ko dito si Miguel…So yeah, I guess it’s safe to say na even before pa lang kami mag-start, talagang nakapag-develop na po kami ng relationship with each other, and mas lumalim po ‘yun as time went on in those three years.”
As for the series, Ortega and Tanfelix star ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ with Matt Lozano, Radson Flores, and Raphael Landicho.
The sci-fi series features Martin del Rosario, Liezel Lopez, Epi Quizon, Carlo Gonzales, Gabby Eigenmann, Neil Ryan Sese, Albert Martinez, Christian Vasquez, Carla Abellana, Dennis Trillo, and many more.
The Kapuso sci-fi adaptation, directed by Mark Reyes, will be airing soon on GMA Network.
Aside from that, they also have an upcoming cinema sneak-peak event (Voltes V Legacy: The Cinematic Experience) showing the version of the first three weeks of the series before its much-awaited premiere on primetime TV in May, from April 19 to 25, in SM Cinemas Nationwide.
