Chief finance officer of Television and Production Exponent (TAPE) Inc. Mayor Bullet Jalosjos sheds light on Eat Bulaga issues.
On April 19, via an interview with Boy Abunda, Jalosjos revealed that there would be no management takeover, saying that there were people who retired causing the board of directors to intervene.
Mayor Bullet Jalosjos clarified, “Actually ang totoo niyan, wala naman pong takeover, it’s just that people have been retiring, si Tony Tuviera nag-retire na po starting March and Tita Malou Fagar also, so it’s just right na pumasok na rin po ang board of directors sa kompanya.”
Jalosjos denied the removal of the iconic trio on the program.
“Eat Bulaga cannot live without TVJ [Tito, Vic, and Joey],” Jalosjos stated.
He said the noontime show will not be gone but rather will have new segments that have bigger prizes.
He added, “We just want to assure the public and everyone else that we’re coming up with a…I can’t say new but more improved Eat Bulaga. I think we’re gonna be adding more shows, bigger prizes, and more exciting segments.”
In February, rumors of internal conflicts and uncertainties emerged regarding the show.
Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime show in the country.
In 2022, it renewed its partnership with GMA Network. The contract will last until 2025.
