On March 30, Viva artist Jiad Arroyo joked that he would engage with a person sneaking a peek at him.
At the media conference for Paupahan, which LionhearTV covered, Arroyo said he would let in a person who takes a peek at him.
“Pero sa akin naman po, kung may nangboboso, titignan ko po kung type ko, tapos papapasukin ko na lang para hindi na sila mahirapan. Hindi joke lang.”
Kidding aside, Arroyo voiced his thoughts about voyeurism.
“Personally, kung I have a friend or kapatid na babae na binobosohan. I would really feel offended at nakakainis talaga.”
He also cited how the story of Paupahan impacted him in real life.
“I’ve never experienced that, I’ve never experienced that so far sa mga kakilala ko wala pa namang silang na-eexperience na ganon.Â
“Pero, I have several friends nga na flight attendants na may mga international flights. Since Paupahan was shot and nabasa ko ‘yung story, mine-message ko sila na, ‘Guys bumili kayo ng parang detector sa camera.’ Kasi kahit ako, na-praning ako, na-praning ako.”
He then praised Quinn Carillo’s script for Paupahan.Â
“Ganon ka-ganda ‘yung story niya na kahit alam kong this is just a film, nadadala ako– nadadala ko siya sa reality kasi sa totoo, when Quinn makes a story, realidad siya, hindi siya fantasy. Talagang it happens in real life.”
As for his upcoming project, Arroyo stars in the Vivamax film Paupahan with Tiffany Grey and Robb Guinto.
Under the direction of the award-winning filmmaker Louie Ignacio, Paupahan streams via Vivamax on April 8.
