On March 30, Viva artist Jiad Arroyo expressed gratitude for landing his first lead role in a film.
At the media conference for ‘Paupahan’, which LionhearTV covered, Arroyo expressed gratitude for his first top-billed role in the upcoming Vivamax film.
Arroyo revealed, “Sobrang nakakatuwa po, as in I’m really blessed and grateful na ‘yung una kong pagbibidahan pelikula ay sinulat ng aking kaibigan. Kasama ko rin po ang aking mga kaibigan as actresses, at ‘yung director po na iniiyakan ko sa writer, ‘yun din po ang binigay sa akin. So, I’m really happy with it, tsaka ang lapit lang sa bahay ng location, so lahat in favor sa akin.”
He then affirmed that his role in ‘Paupahan’ is his ‘biggest’ showbiz break yet.
He said, “Well, biggest break yet, but alam ko bibigyan pa ako– biggest break yet, pero we all know na pataas na ‘to lahat, starting from here, there’s now way but up.”
He also thanked award-winning director Louie Ignacio for his patience and guidance while filming the movie.
He expressed, “Kausap ko si Direk, every time that we have time na pwede ko siyang kausapin, I ask him about, ‘Direk, paano po ba ‘yung ganito, ano po ba ‘yung sinasabi nila na ganito, paano po ba gawin ito?…And then he explained it to me and inalalayan niya ako all the way and I really appreciate it, kaya kung ano man po ang makikita ninyo sa film, it’s not just me. Sabihin natin it’s 10% me kasi ako ‘yung nakikita ninyo, but the rest of it is what Direk taught me on that film.”
Arroyo stars in the Vivamax film ‘Paupahan’ with Tiffany Grey and Robb Guinto.
Under the direction of Louie Ignacio, ‘Paupahan’ streams via Vivamax on April 8.
